Negative and Positive Film Output
3600 dpi Drum Imagesetter (up to18” x 25”) - We can create extremely accurate registered film negatives which are imaged as large as 17.79: x 24.5” with line screens up to 200 lpi.

Black and White Output and Proofing
1800 dpi Laser Printer (up to 11” x 17”) - We have an 1800 dpi paper laser printer which produces a quality image. It is primarily for proofing, but its output can be used in non critical applications as camera ready copy. Due to the sheet fed and dry powder nature of its engine, the larger the output the more chance it has to stretch or shrink slightly, distorting dimensional accuracy. If there are screens, the dots may become muddied. This type of proof is an inexpensive way to generate color separations for preflighting an electronic file.

Color Output and Proofing
600 x 300 dpi Color Laser Print (up to 11” x 17”) - The color laser printer lays down Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks mimicking process printing to reproduce millions of colors. Basic shapes and type may show some jaggedness but pictures can approach photographic clarity. This is a simple and inexpensive color proofing option to give customers a good approximation of the overall look of a color computer file. You can expect a close approximate PMS color match from our color laser. Small amounts of color shift may occur from day to day and even copy to copy. This a perfect proof to use during the early design stages.

Color Key (up to 11” x 14”) - A high end contract color proof. The color key is a build up of acetate sheets made from the actual CMYK negatives. Each acetate is created in one of the four process colors to mimic the printing press. When laid on top of each other they show sequentially what the pressman should see as he lays down each subsequent ink. When all acetates are overlaid, they give a very accurate account of the printed piece. Color key may appear slightly darker than expected due to the thickness of the multiple acetates used. This is the preferred proof for print shops using multiple pass systems.

Dryproof Matchprint (up to 11” x 14”) - The top of the line contract color proof. A Matchprint is a laminated proofing system made from the actual CMYK negatives which shows what the final product will look like. If spot colors are used in the file, they will be converted to CMYK which can alter the final appearance of the PMS spot color. A solid to process PMS conversion book should be checked to show the client what will happen before the Matchprint is produced. This is an excellent final proof the customer can sign off on without the expense of a press proof.

Electronic Proofing
We can provide a pdf proof at your request for any job we have created.
