Unfortunately, due to manufacturing and storage availability, all colors other than white and any sizes other than Standard

PERSONALIZATION SERVICES

Magnetic Strips
Magnetic strips are black magnetic oxide strips applied to the back of plastic cards. These strips are used to store the electronic information that has been encoded on to them.
LOCO Magnetic Stripe (300 oersteads)
HICO Magnetic Stripe (2750 oersteads)

Bar Coding
Bar coding is an automatic identification technology that encodes information into an array of adjacent varying width parallel rectangular bars. There are many different formats of barcodes. We have shown the two most popular here. (Please call for any further assistance in preparing electronic files).

Thermal Imaging
This is available on a 20, 24 or 30 mil card. Variable data such as name and personal information can be added to a card with this process.
Please note: Thermal Imaging area must be 3/16” away from all sides of card. Thermal imaging will not adhere to a matte finish plastic card. If thermal imaging is required on a printed portion of the card, a special thermal kote must be applied at an additional charge. Black is standard for imaging, but other colors are available. Call for pricing and availability.

Embossing
This is only available on either a 24 or 30 mil card. OCR numbering or select lettering is available. You can also add foil tipping in either gold or silver. Please note: Embossing area must be 3/16” away from all sides of card.

Signature Panel
Stamped, printed clear or printed white panels are available. A printed signature panel (on any card thickness) allows you to write on an area of a plastic card. A stamped signature panel is offered on 15-30 mil thickness and allows you to type on a 15 mil plastic card. A matte finish of a plastic card allows you to write on the entire side of the card.

ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS

Ink
Both four-color process and spot color printing up to six colors are available. There is no additional charge for standard PMS color matching. 4-digit PMS colors are an additional $15.00 per color. Our standard metallic ink colors are PMS 873 Gold and PMS 873 Silver. Custom ink colors are available at an additional charge and require special ordering. Unfortunately, due to variances in shading of plastic dyes, NovaCard cannot guarantee exact color matches on plastic other than white.

Artwork can be submitted to: universe@microforms.com. We have templates available in both Quark and .eps formats.
When sending files via e-mail, they MUST be stuffed or zipped
